My Training and Nutrition

How I got started:

I began lifting weights when I turned 18. However, about 3 years ago I wanted something more. I attended the Alabama State Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness Championships in August of 2006. I decided that Figure was something that I wanted to pursue and began training for my first competition which was May of 2007. In May 2008, I decided that I wanted to improve my physique more. I hired Greg Hasberry from Birmingham. I then competed in the Southeastern Gold's Classic in Gadsden and won my class!

My Current Workout Split:

Monday: Shoulders and Calves

Tuesday: Legs

Wednesday: Sprints And Plyometrics

Thursday: Back, Triceps and Bicepts

Friday: Shoulders and Calves

Saturday: Sprints And Plyometrics

Sunday: Rest

My workout often changes. I am currently working on bringing up my shoulders. In the offseason, I do 40 minutes of cardio walking on an incline. My cardio in season varies, depending on where I am with my prep.

My Nutrition Plan:

Since working with Greg, each nutrition plan has been different for each competition. I am currently on a moderate fat, low carb diet. It seems to work the best for my body.

Why I love fitness:

I love pushing myself and seeing the changes in my body. I also love being a role model to others.

Future Fitness Plans:

I am currently training for the Arnold Amateur in March.  My competition plans for 2010 include the Arnold and Nationals in October. I am also working towards my Bachelor's in Sports and Fitness Management from Troy University. I will finish in 2010 and hope to get a job in the field.
